Grab that old digital camera out of the back of the closet or tucked in a drawer to come play with the spirits at the Coach and Lantern in Ancaster. A resident of Dundas, Bert Richards has been investigating spirits and the paranormal for 14 years. Bert and two good friends conducted public ghost events as Beyond Ghosts Canada, and he was a member of Motor City Ghost Hunters.
One of his favourite investigative tools is spirit photography, which he has used in locations such as Old Fort Erie, and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He has given talks on his technique in recording this phenomenon at various conferences and the University of Michigan.
Using long exposures and a single-lens reflex camera, a wide variety of hard to explain images present themselves. Bert will explain the key differences between video and photography and how it can yield very intriguing results, and how to try this technique for yourself.
Shanel will then share her gift of connecting with the spirits, starting with those who are always at the restaurant giving you an opportunity to try out your new found skill of spirit photography as she talks.
This will be followed by a group mediumship session as Shanel connects with participants loved ones from the other side. One by one they step up to share their messages of laughter, love and support from beyond with the most eager spirit going first. Shanel will share as many messages as possible in the two hours of mediumship.
